HEY BATTER, BATTER, BATTER, BATTER...

sah-wing-a batter!  In this league, they can only get a double when it's overthrown at first...otherwise, our little player would have made it to third :0)

SOFTBALL 2014....

Crazy to think, but this is Boo's 4th season playing softball.  Our sweet baby girl, has turned into such a sweet big (or little on this team) girl.  We love watching her be apart of a team.  This year's learning curve is proving to be a good one for her.  There is one particular (older) girl on the team, that has taken Bailey under her wing.  Elaina is so sweet; she checks for Boo and helps to make sure that she's doing what she should be doing.  It's been great for our little player.

You're doing a great job Boo!

MY BEAUTIFUL BABIES...MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY...MY BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR...

Today is a day, that as a believer in Christ, we celebrate.  Celebrate the fact that our Lord Jesus is bigger than the grave.  That death was not the end, but rather that He is alive and waiting for us in heaven.  I am thankful for that fact and for the many, many blessings my God has given me... the greatest (outside of my salvation) being my family. I am truly, truly blessed.  I mean seriously... have you seen more beautiful children?  This mama would have to tell you, that I'm not sure that's possible  :0)

Happy Easter!

Brandon was a bit confused by the timer on the camera :0)

We were blessed with some beautiful (and very bright)
sunshine today

Love this picture of them...

My beautiful girl is looking so grown up!

My absolute favorite, silly, girl :0)

Beautiful...
Beautiful...

Did I mention... beautiful? :0)

OUR BIG (LITTLE) MAN...

Boo started softball this past week and while we were at her first game... our little man, decided to play with the big boys.  It was hilarious to watch (several mommies were taking photos) because the boys were so, so cute together. Brandon was the youngest with the blond haired boy on his right (to the left in the picture) a year older and the other boy a year older than that.

Our little man is growing up!  And so is our sweet girl!  This year she is part of the "big girl's" league.  She actually looks like a runt compared to the other girls!  She is the only 1st grader; the other girls on her team are mostly 3rd and 4th grade girls...which is good as she'll learn from them, but this season is definitely a huge learning curve for her.  We'll be out of town for the last two games of the season, but she'll participate in 5 out of the 7.  Pictures and updates to come later in the month.

Play ball!

It was so funny, watching the boys play and then crack each other up! :0)

That's sissy behind him.  She was playing catcher that inning!

DINOSAURS!...

This past week I did a dinosaur study with Boo.  She LOVED it.  She has enjoyed reading about dinosaurs for a year or two now, so the study was a nice break from the everyday ABCs.  We studied books, enjoyed a huge poster with 20+ types of dinosaurs listed, drew pictures, made a diorama (shadowbox) and even made fossils from scratch!

To wrap up the lesson, we took a visit to the Tellus Science Museum up in Cartersville where they have an entire section devoted to dinosaur fossils. Both the kids enjoyed the museum, as did Tom and I however...personally I am looking forward to a possible family trip to the Creation Museum (http://creationmuseum.org/) up in KY next year.   While doing this study and visiting the museum, I found myself constantly saying that science and the bible don't always agree.  It will be awesome to take my children to a museum that shows science/history from a biblical point of view.

All in all, two thumbs up for the study.  Bailey said it was most definitely dino-terrific!  :0)

She made this fossil from a kit (you mix the plaster, pour it
into a mold and then paint the pieces when dry and lay
it out as shown in the booklet).  This fossil is of a triceratops.

Making the diorama

It was awesome for her to stand next to a fossil and see how large
these creators really were!

Learning about electricity and missing Popo here...

Hello baby blues..

Digging for fossils

The museum lets you take home one (very) small fossil...
most of them are ( probably shark) teeth.  Others are replica fossil pieces.

THE B.I.B.L.E....

Brandon knows which rooms is his.  Most days, Sissy no longer lets him in her room, so he's been forced to move to the next bedroom (his) and discover things in there.  He'll go back there, close the door and explore :0)

Sometimes he'll grab his stuffed animals and lay on them, sometimes he'll lay on the rocking ottoman and take a "ride" and then there are times, that he'll grab a book and climb up onto his rocker and read.  This particular day, he had grabbed his bible and was so focused on it, that not only did he not stop when I opened the door (which usually this makes him squeal, laugh and run) but he kept reading while I snapped a few quick pictures.

Of course...then he looked up squealed, laughed and ran :0)
