This past week, the kids and I went to Six Flags with some friends in our homeschool group. We were blessed as Bailey participated in a reading program so our tickets were free and one of our HS group friends has season passes...so they were able to get us free parking. The weather was perfect! In the morning, it was cool and the crowds were very, very low. By lunch time, the sun had come out and it warmed up...perfect for our time in their water park. I will say that I'm not a fan of Six Flag's policy of not allowing outside food as the food they have to offer is very, very expensive (more expensive than Disney, which shocked this mama). Even so, I was able to keep at our $20 budget (probably because I did sneak in some juice and applesauce... well, I didn't really "sneak" as the gate attendant didn't ask if I had any food ;).
The kids had a BLAST, mommy discovered that she's getting too old for some of these rides and even though I do not want to buy a season pass, we are looking forward to our trip with the homeschool group next year.

Bailey LOVED driving the little cars. Because there was no one else in line, we got to ride this ride... four times in a row :) |
Baby brother got a chance to drive too :) So serious and this mama just loves those sweet lips! |

Our beautiful, big girl... |
First ride, all "by himself". He was very serious...probably because mama was super nervous and had cinched down the seat belt so tight, that it's possible that he could not feel his legs :) |
They did great and, of course, asked to ride it again :) |
Pool time! There were water slides, a splash area and a wave pool! Great fun :) |
Too cool... |
Of course, there has to be a snack after swimming... |
Ice cream faces all around :) |
