Evan's birthday...

This weekend we got to celebrate Evan's birthday (Bailey's BFF). It was a GREAT time! Her party was at a Bouncy House and, next to Disney, those right now are at the top of Bailey's "favorite" list. She LOVES them! It was a lot of fun. Happy Birthday Evan! We love you!

Daddy climbed in and had some fun too :)

Bubble Bath!

This past week was Bailey's first bubble bath and now she's addicted :) We've blown bubbles in the bath before but, this was her first real "bubble bath". She had a great time...I almost had to pull her from the bath :)

Hope each of you had a wonderful week!

Snow...in the "SOUTH"...again?!

When we moved to Georgia I thought, "now I'll live in a warm climate". Yeah...this past winter has been wet, cold and snowy. Atlanta has seen two snow "storms" (really only 2-4 inches) since the beginning of the year. This last snow (last night) brought enough to do some sledding in our front yard. We don't own a sled so at first we used a box which actually worked pretty well for Boo...then one of our neighbors felt sorry for us and brought over one of their sleds to use. That made for a much faster ride....Bailey LOVED it :)

We also tried to make a snowman, but the snow was not packing so it looked pretty pathetic. You'll notice below, that I actually had to outline the shape so you'd know what you were looking at :)

I've added some pictures and a couple of videos. Wish each of you could have experienced the morning with us. It was chilly, but very pretty and a lot of fun. Bailey is coming into the age where her memories will stay with her; I'm thankful that she'll have this one.

Lots of love!

Art time....

I love watching Bailey grow. It pains me that it's happening so quickly but, it's wonderful to watch. We purchased an art easel at Ikea. It has a chalk board on one side, dry eraser on the other and a roll of paper that you can pull down on either side. She enjoys playing with this...at first she thought the chalk and paper with crayons were great, now she's liking the dry eraser board (TIP: I've discoverd that dry eraser markers may come of the board easily but clothes...not so much).

We also have magnetic letters on the fridge. She doesn't play with those much anymore but, she will line up all the colors together in nice neat rows. This last week, I asked her to spell her name with the magnets and guess what....she did it! What a big girl! Note the Elle (Cinderella) costume...still wearing that about every other day :)

Lots of love!

Kicking it up a notch...

For about the past 6-9 months, Bailey's make-believe world has increased. She's gone from talking to her bear and other stuffed animals, to "reading" out loud (she's memorized what I've said so she tries to read...even using funny voices sometimes :). Yesterday and today however, she's kicked it up a notch and is now asking for costumes. Yesterday she walked around in her ballerina outfit (aka her halloween costume) and today she asked to wear "Ella" (aka Cinderella). She liked wearing them so much, that it was a challenge to get them off for nap time :)

Hope you've all had a great week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

At 6:34 pm tonight, Bailey Katelyn Siver turned 3 years old. It is truly hard for me to believe this fact. In some ways, I feel like it was just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant....but then I think about all this beautiful little girl and I have been through in the past three years and it makes me realize just how quickly time can go. What a miracle and blessing she is. We could not imagine our lives without her. THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR YOUR WONDERFUL GIFT!

Happy Birthday baby girl....or should I say, Happy Birthday my big girl. We love you so very much.
