AFTERNOON FUN...

With the nice fall weather, we try and take advantage of any chance at outdoor fun (only downside is we have to fight those ugly mosquitoes!).  I took this video a couple of weeks ago; the kids were having a fun time using the swings in the garage....well, Brandon was about to fall asleep but, he still enjoyed himself :0).

FAIR...

Fair time again!  Amazes me how quickly this seems to come around each year.  We fly through summer and then, before we know it, it's the end of September and time for the North Georgia Fair!  We had a great morning.  Boo got to ride several free rides, it wasn't too hot and a special bonus...we got to see a baby calf.  A BRAND NEW baby calf.  The fair had to close the tarp so the mama could give birth and we arrived about 30 minutes after the baby girl was born.  She was still trying to figure out how to walk!  It was pretty great! :O)

Probably the best "hold the camera out front" pic yet!

Looking like such a big girl!

The closest Boo gets, when feeding any animal :o)

About an hour after we got there.  He did his best to fight it, but finally gave in :o)

10 MONTHS...

Here we are...10 months old!  Our little man is growing like a weed or, as Tom likes to say, like a linebacker :o)  I haven't stood on the scale with him lately, but I'm guessing he's a good 23lbs.  Brandon now wears 9 to12 month clothes and size 4 diapers (although size 5 are not too far off).  He is becoming quite the expert at crawling and while he is still very interested in EVERYTHING anyone is eating, he seems to have an easy gag reflex so I have to be very careful about what I offer him.  Brandon is not a patient baby; which is an unfortunate trait that he got that from me.  He is however very happy and his laugh will immediately make your day.  All boy is the best way to describe our little man.  He's rough, loud, big and absolutely, perfectly, wonderful.

Sweet baby curls...

You're killing me with all these pictures!

Not sure which is better...the bites or the fingers :0)

Don't you just want to squeeze him!?  :0)

BRU...

We go to BRU (Babies R Us) quite a bit.  Have since Boo was born.  We don't buy a ton there, but I've always liked walking around the store.  For some reason, it just makes me happy :0)

Towards the end of last year, BRU opened a new store in the Cumberland area.  It's great because it's huge and combines both Babies R Us and Toys R Us under one roof...which is perfect for a family with a kid and a baby.  There are tons of toys for Bailey to look at and just about every baby item ever invented.

Outside the front of this store, are these super cute concrete posts that were set in molds so they are shaped in these neat designs (one looks like blocks, the other a child...etc).  Boo always gets a kick out of standing on them.  I guess she likes being tall... or should I say, taller than she already is.  Pretty sure this little girl is going to pass up Mommy before she hits the 5th grade!  Then again, at my 5'2", that's not going to be too tough :0)

While Brandon was working hard at eating some bites :0)

Hmmm...are they down in that belly?

AGGRESSIVE LOVING...

Bailey started the aggressive loving, as we like to call it, when she was a baby.  She would show Mommy, Daddy, YiaYia and Popo lots of aggressive loving and now her bear's face is pretty much stained dark from her face to face aggressive loving :o)

Well, Brandon has continued with the tradition.  He especially shows aggressive loving to sissy, my guess is because she always does it to him (only in her face and voice...she doesn't actually grab him.  Okay, well sometimes she grabs his hand...she just loves him so much that she has to reach out and squeeze him a little :o)  This video was taken just the other day...

WHEN DID SHE...

Become the big kid on campus?  Earlier this week, I went to pick Boo up from school; she goes to school at local church where they have nursery school (age 3), preschool (age 4) and kindergarten (age 5).  They also have mother's morning out for babies.

Bailey started at age 3 in nursery school and I can remember picking her up then and watching the kindergarten class play on the playground (they're typically the last class out and they're usually playing while the younger kids are being picked up).  I remember thinking that they looked liked such "big kids".

Well...now it's Boo's turn.  As I picked her up from school, that particular day they had lunch bunch where parents can pay to have their children stay and eat lunch, the kindergarten class was leaving the playground and the teachers were bringing the 3 year old class down for some more playtime outside.  Bailey and her friends looked so big compared to these little ones and I sat there in my car thinking...when did this happen?  When did she become the big kid on campus?  Right now, as I type, she's sitting the kitchen playing with Play-Doh and, in her little girl voice, she's having fun using her imagination.  Soaking up every moment of this as I know that too soon, my beautiful girl will be "too big" for Play-Doh and her little girl voice.

5 MINUTES...

Just a random 5 minutes of our afternoon yesterday.  Bailey showing her endless energy and Brandon his frustration with not being able to crawl.  I had the camera on him for most of these 5 minutes as some days he looks soooo close to crawling.  I keep taking videos, trying to catch that first moment!  Of course, don't ya know, we mama's are rarely that lucky ;O)

MAKING CALLS...

Some days, when I'm trying to squeeze in a little more work, I'll sit Brandon in his highchair next to my desk.  If I'm lucky, this buys me another 15 minutes but it's becoming a little more tricky as he's constantly watching the computer to see if I'm going to Skype YiaYia and Popo.  I have a feeling as soon as he can put a few words together, we'll be making even more calls and spending more time on Skype.  However, he's going to have to fight Sissy on this one because if you ask her...they are still "her" YiaYia and Popo and Brandon's, well...not so much :o)

Hmmm...think I can get YiaYia on this thing?

Maybe if I hold it this way...

LOVE the lashes!!

Super LOVE the "smile" :)
