LOVE EACH OTHER...

Boo came out of her room the other day, with this sweet, sweet picture.  That's her and Brandon.  LOVE. EACH. OTHER.  She drew the picture and wrote the words all by herself...without any prompting from Mommy.  Love that :0)

Often times in our home, you'll hear me say the words, "be kind" to the kids. They adore each other, but they are children and they are siblings... which means that Brandon does swing out and smack his sissy from time to time and that behavior is typically in response to sissy taking one of his toys or grabbing something just as he's going for it.  Be kind.  10 to 20 times a day.  But, they're getting it.  Slowly.  But they are getting it.

On the flip side, Brandon will also go up and give his sissy huge, full body, completely unwarranted hugs... and Boo told me just yesterday, that she loves her baby brother "more than 200 cans of whip cream".  Now, that's some big love right there :0)

SWIM LESSONS...

This week, both kiddos have swim lessons and they are both LOVING them.  It's been a lot of fun.  We've been blessed with some really nice weather...which is a good thing as the lessons are in an outdoor pool :0)

Brandon really has very little (if any fear) of the water.  Knock on wood, but I think he's finally gotten over the "let's see just how wide I can open my mouth" when I dunk him, which is very nice as he's no longer gasping when he comes out the water :0)  With his lesson, I'm in the water with him.  He and I are both enjoying the experience.

Boo is simply having a GREAT time.  She really loves the pool.  The only tough part of the lessons for her, is the fact that she can't swim and splash around too much (the instructors actually give them a good amount of grace) while the other kids are having their one-on-one time.  They are jumping off the diving board, which she LOVES.  Right now she still uses the life vest, but as soon as she figures out how to take a breath while swimming, she'll be good to try it without.  As for taking a breath while swimming... she is so, so close.  Almost there.  We're working hard to get that down, before seeing YiaYia and Popo at Disney in a few months :0)

Our sweet swimmer girl...

Having SO much fun!

Lovin the new glasses :0)

LOVE those lashes!

Sweet boy was so tired after one lesson...here he
is, trying to "watch" Mickey Mouse :0)

APPRECIATION...

Mercy, the plug on our computer (for the card reader) broke...so my only option for pictures, is what we can take on our phones :)

To sum it up... the last few weeks have been busy.  Lots of wonderful family time, including a quick bonus trip to Disney.  It was HOT, but awesome!  We were very thankful for the chance to go.  Tom started a new job which has given him a steady work schedule and provided us with more family time.  He's actually home for dinner, which hasn't happened in almost a year and a half... we are really enjoying this and so thankful for the change.

This past week, was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A.  We are a Chick-fil-A family (or Chicken-fil-A as Brandon calls it).   Because Brandon has a peanut allergy, we are so, so thankful for their grilled nuggets. God was so good to bless us as Chick-fil-A just started serving those a few years ago....they did not have grilled nuggets when Boo was his age.  Cow Appreciation Day is something that we've participated in for the last few years; it's a day that Chick-fil-A shows their customer appreciation by treating guests to a meal, if you dress up in Chick-fil-A attire.  And I mean really, who wouldn't want to dress up like a cow? :0) We had a lot of fun and got a free meal in turn!  Even Daddy participated... although I think he'd tell you, that he is appreciative that there are no pictures to prove that ;0)

So hard to capture each of us, with our eyes open or
looking in the right direction.. haha :)
