WHEW... BUSY...

I have several updates to post, so I'm going to try and carve out sometime to do that this week. First are some pictures from last weekend.  We went on a camping trip to the Pine Mountain - Callaway Gardens area with Bailey's (American Heritage Girls) troop.  We were blessed with some beautiful weather and some really great fellowship.  It was a WONDERFUL weekend!

While there, we visited the Explorations in Antiquity Center in LaGrange (http://www.explorationsinantiquity.net).  This place was AWESOME!  If you're ever down near Columbus, Ga...La Grange is not far and this place is definitely worth visiting.  It was a bit challenging, visiting there with an active two year old ;)... but still, well worth the time.

This was about 1/2 of the kids in attendance.  AHG is a girl's troop however,
the camping trip was a family activity :O)

Little man was perfectly happy....

until a stranger tried to take our picture...haha :0)

Brandon was telling Daddy a story here.. :0)

Not sure if you can read this or not (try clicking to
make it larger) but very interesting!

Couldn't miss the football game :0)   Side note, we had to put the ladder
in front of the water heater plate as our poor little man burned his
finger on it earlier :(   Note to self:  keep that covered!

MALL STOP...

The kids and I met daddy at the mall, after work one night last week, for dinner and some fun window shopping at the Disney store.  As we were getting ready to head inside, Bailey had my phone and she wanted to take a picture of brother and myself...of course, I couldn't resist my turn at taking her picture... my sweet girl is getting so big.  Love you baby girl!

FALL DAYS AND A CORN MAZE...

Fall is quickly approaching (even though we've still had some warm days); so to get in the mood last week we hit a local corn maze, took a hay ride and followed that up with a tour of their working farm.  It was a lot of fun and the farm tour was very informational (we learned about a "tigger seat" used for milking, got to see some cute pigs run in a race, fed animals and observed a herding dog working). FFDFS:  Fun family day for sure!

Sissy did a great job leading the way!

My two favorite men...

Love the lighting here...I look so tan, haha :0)

Brandon LOVED feeding the animals...sissy?  Well,
she still sort-of "throws" the food at them :0)

My little farm boy...

Watching the pigs race...ours (named Oreo) didn't win any races,
but he was the cutest :0)

CHOCOLATE!...

This past week, we had fun on a field trip with SASCH (our homeschool group) at a local chocolate "factory" (aka a small store that makes their own chocolates).  The kids had a great time learning about the history of chocolate, making their treats and sampling some really great stuff.  The hard part was waiting to actually sample; at one point, Brandon was in my arms as he was tired of sitting at the table with "off-limits" chocolate in front of him (I can understand buddy!)...then the instructor said it was time to try some sampling, at which point he promptly asked me to set him down :0)

Bailey had a lot of fun with her friends and she learned that while she loves chocolate covered oreos, that she is not a huge fan of white chocolate (sorry Yia Yia).  Brandon on the other hand loved it all and mommy gravitated toward the dark chocolate.

A sweet day for us all!

SCHOOL WORK...

Brandon likes to join sissy, when she's sitting at her desk for school.  Often times he'll come into the room and announce that he, "has work" to do and then he pulls out his chair and gets to it :0)   It's great watching them grow and learn together... such a blessing to be a part of.
