BOO...TYPICAL SILLY SELF...

Bailey is one silly girl. There's not a day that goes by that I don't crack up over something she's said or done. She's just plain silly and joyful...God bless her for that. Her joy is AWESOME!

Yesterday, Boo had a friend come over to play. They ended up outside in the sprinkler so after her friend left, I went into my office to get some work done and asked her to get undressed (out of her wet bathing suit) while I was clearing out some emails. Her shorts, panties and shirt were in her room so I figured she'd get dressed in those. Well....I figured wrong :)

A few minutes after sending her into her room to change, I hear a sweet little voice behind me in the office. I turn to find my beautiful girl "dressed" in her play apron. At first I thought she had her panties on; it wasn't until she turned around to leave that I saw that she was butt naked (yep...."butt"naked, not "buck"naked :). She cracked me up...as usual. Silly, silly Boo.

I wasn't sure if at 14...she'd think it was cute that I showed the world her tush at age 4 so...I've darkened it up a bit :)

FROZEN BANANA...

Sorry for the blurry pic below...for some reason, my camera wouldn't focus!

Let me start by saying that I LOVE frozen banana's. When we go to Disney, I need to eat at least one a day...sometimes two. They're the best! Well...when I saw a package at Publix, I just knew that I needed to bring them home. Turns out Boo likes them just as much as Mommy! While she eats all the chocolate off with no problem, the frozen banana itself is still a bit of a job for her to tackle but...she usually gets a good 4 or 5 bites in before she gets tired. Works for me though, because I usually get to come behind her and eat the rest of the banana :) On this day, we were heading out after so I had her wear a bib to keep her shirt clean!

FATHER'S DAY....

Happy Father's Day to both my amazing husband (Daddy) and my wonderful Father (Popo). Bailey and I are both so blessed to have these wonderful men in our lives. Men who love with such passion and who work hard to set great examples. God has truly blessed us.

WE LOVE YOU!

RESULTS....

Praise God, baby looks wonderfully healthy!!! Everything is on track and development looks great. No problems to report, thank you Lord Jesus!

Oh...and for what I know most of you are waiting for :) Looks like the baby is a .....BOY! That's right, Boo is going to have a brother. I was shocked and she was a little disappointed but, apparently not for too long as she asked the u/s tech if the "baby was done yet". She's ready to see her sibling :) She did tell me today that she wanted a sister because boys are gross. Ah...I love my girl :) I'm hoping she'll feel that way for another 15 years!

Sorry no pics....tried to take video of the u/s but, it didn't turn out that great (we used a cell phone). We did get a couple of pictures from the u/s machine but...they're pretty dark. I have another scan next month, at 20 weeks, and we'll take the actual video (cam) recorder with us then.

Here's to "making things even" in our family, as Tom put it :)

BUSY....

Bailey has been taking swim lessons and while she's not "a fish" in the water (actually, she's a bit more like a rock), she is getting better. She's learning and is starting to overcome her fears. We're very proud of her. A couple of weeks ago, she went underwater by herself for the first time. To reward her, we went to Walmart and got her the newest (of her many) Disney costumes. Rapunzel. She loves it and wears it every chance she gets (which is nice, because the other costumes needed a rest :).

Outside of that...we're very busy around here. Bailey is on summer break, so I'm working hard to make sure we have some sort of activity each day (i.e. swim lessons, gymnastics, a trip to the park). This makes for one busy working Mama. Tom's working hard and many hours, so each moment he's free Bailey eats up his attention. Next week is VBS at our church and I've taken sometime off to teach Boo's class. I did this last year and it was a blast. The only difference is, last year I was not the lead teacher and this year I am. This means a lot more work. I'm excited for the week though. Oh...except the theme, New York: Big Apple Adventure. Okay...just how do you decorate a room (for 4 year olds) when the theme is New York? I'm not the craftiest of persons, so this has been a challenge. Tom keeps reminding me that the kids are only 4 and not only will they (not) care, but they'll have no idea what/where NY is. I tell him, "well, they may not know now but...dog-gone-it, they'll know by the end of the week" :) Really what's most important is they know Jesus and my silly decorations have nothing to do with that.

Pregnancy update: I'm 16 weeks today and I'm feeling good. Bailey is now aware that we are having a baby which is pretty cute. She is (still) convinced that the baby is a girl. Our first "big" u/s is Tuesday. We're trusting Jesus for a wonderful (healthy) report.

Lots of love to you all....

OLD MACDONALD HAD A FARM...

E-I-E-I-O. And on that farm he had...what??! NO pony?? E-I-E-I-O.

Last week, we had the shed painted in our back yard. It use to be blue with dark blue trim and we changed it to a red base with white trim. It looks just like I wanted it to...like a little barn. All that's missing is a cute little weather vane on the roof and (of course) some animals.

Once the painting was complete, Bailey declared "Hey...looks like a barn!", to which I replied "yep, all we need is the pony". Boo is only 4 but, my prayer is that (if she expresses any interest) that around age 10 we'll look into riding lessons and then, maybe one day, a horse of her own. To be honest, if we had the money and land right now...I'd probably get her the pony today :)

Hmmm...where is my pony??

Maybe God knows where my pony is...

No pony yet...maybe in a few years :)

FOUR GENERATIONS....

In April, we went out to Oregon for my grandfather (my dad's dad) 90th birthday. While there, we had a 4 generation photo taken. Below is Bailey, myself, my father and my grandparents. It was really neat to be able to get this photo taken...it's not often that you get a 4 generation picture. Huge blessing to have this chance! Not sure why there is so much white space below the photo...something to do with how I scanned it but, I couldn't figure out to correct it. Sorry!
