GUITAR...

As I've mentioned before, our little man loves to play the guitar.  Actually, he loves all forms of music (singing, drums, the trumpet, a microphone...) anything musical in our house, or a store or on tv...he gravitates to it.  It's awesome to watch :0)

A few weeks ago, Brandon got his first "guitar injury"... a small blister on his thumb.  He was super cute with it.  Once he noticed it, he walked around with a big "thumbs up", because he didn't want anything to touch it.  Now, did that stop him from playing the guitar you ask?  Heck no!  He let me put a band-aid on it, so he could keep on playing.

That's my boy :0)

BYE BYE BABA....

Before we went to Disney last week, I knew that another milestone was coming.  Not only would our first miracle be a beautiful year older, but our sweet second miracle was going to have to say goodbye to one of the few "baby" items left... his baba.  It took our little man a little while to get the hang of drinking milk from a cup (water, no problem, but milk...that he wanted in the bottle).  About a month ago, it finally clicked and I slowly started cutting back the amount of milk in his morning and night bottle, and increasing the amount he drank out of a cup.  I knew the day was coming, but it was hard for this mama.  I've never been one to prop the bottle up for my babies, or let them walk around holding/drinking the bottle... rather I've always sat and snuggled with them while they drank their bottle; it was always a sweet time for me.  So to say goodbye well, I knew it would be tough on us both.

The change was made while at Disney, as I figured this would be the easiest while we were busy and out of the normal routine anyway.  He did great. Didn't ask for the baba once.  At least...Not. While. At. Disney.  Once we got home, the transition was a little tougher, but after a few morning and nights of tears (from us both)...I think we've made it through.  Another step towards our sweet baby boy, growing into a sweet big boy.

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE...

This year, we surprised Boo with a birthday trip to Disney.  She LOVED it (no surprise there..wink, wink ;).  We got lucky and had good weather the first few days, but then unfortunately things went both wet and chilly...so we had to leave a couple of days early.  Still, the trip was memorable and provided us with some much needed family time.  Characters were still a HUGE hit with both kiddos :0). This year is the last "free" year for Brandon, so we actually have two more visits planned.  Super excited to spend this time with them, watching them experience the magic of Disney...and allowing our family some good, quality, family time.

PARTY...

Our little mermaid had her birthday party this weekend, at the nearby county pool. Boo had a great time, as I believe all of her friends did.  She was very specific in the friends she chose...only the closest and "most special" made the cut :0)

Happy Birthday (again) sweet girl... we hope your birthday celebration, was a huge splash :0)

ONE MOMENT...

Our sweet miracle girl, turned 7 years old today.  Hard for this mama to believe as there are times that the moment I found out I was pregnant with her, feels like only yesterday.  As I remembered back to the day of her birth, I am flooded with emotion.  The feeling when you hold your first child, is like nothing else... especially for women, such as myself, who long for and pray for, that moment. Many of us, for years.  In one moment, so much is healed.  In that one moment, the pain of yesterday is wiped away.  In that one moment, your heart is made whole.  In that one moment, your arms are no longer empty.

I praise God, for that one moment.  Bailey Katelyn...you were the one moment, that God used to heal.  I am, we are, so incredibly thankful for you.

Happy Birthday Boo.... may God continue to protect, bless and use you.
