STONE MOUNTAIN...

Weekend before last, we "traveled" over to the campground at Stone Mountain.  I say "traveled" as it took us less than 1 hour to get from our driveway, to the campground which was so exciting for our family... a short drive with the camper, yay! :)

We were blessed with some really, really great weather and we had a wonderful time.  We'll definitely make a return trip next year :)

Our campsite....

View from inside my kitchen :)
An even better view... inside :)

The pool and playground were right across the road...

Wonderful way to start the day....

My beautiful babies...

Bailey was SOOO brave!!  We're up at the TOP.

My big girl :)

Sweet, sweet boy...

Daddy trying to teach Boo...

But she insists on playing, by dragging the ball :0)

This is how our little man plays...

Then he drags the club...from hole to hole.  Haha :0)
Wonderful family time, even though Brandon
doesn't look too thrilled :0)

PLAYING IN THE RAIN...

This afternoon, it was raining.... I know, shocker.  Raining.  In Georgia.  In the afternoon.  Yep... rarely happens.

Anyway, it was raining and Boo announced, "let's go outside and play in the rain".  And that's exactly what we did.  Or I should say, what they did... mommy stayed under an umbrella with the camera :0)

Our girl..."pointing" to the steam on the road during the rain.

Love it... he's trying to catch the rain drops :o)

She brings me so much joy...

He melts my heart...Every. Single. Day.

Our beautiful girl...

He was laughing because he was coming at me with a cup of water...

still laughing as he had thrown some water on me :o)

The sun shining on my two miracles...how thankful I am for them.

SECOND GRADE...

Hard to believe, but today our miracle girl started second grade.  This is our second year homeschooling and I'm really looking forward to it; feel like I have a better grasp on not only what to expect, but how to better prepare for the year ahead of us.  I am so honored to get the chance to spend all day with my sweet girl, teaching her and watching her learn and grow.  Patience required? Absolutely.  But awesome to experience?  Oh. My. Gosh. YES!

Excited for the year ahead of us Boo!  Watch out second grade... this girl is going to crush it!

OUR LITTLE MAN...

Is a big boy.  We've ventured into the land of potty training and man...the first 36 hours were rough.  Really. Rough.  But he is now doing well.  Really. Well. And while I'm sure my sweet boy will have some accidents, it looks like the days of changing diapers are over.  Bittersweet for this mama really, but I am so thankful that the transition went so well for him.  My little man is a big boy and I'm loving him more... Every. Single. Day.

SIX FLAGS...

This past week, the kids and I went to Six Flags with some friends in our homeschool group.  We were blessed as Bailey participated in a reading program so our tickets were free and one of our HS group friends has season passes...so they were able to get us free parking.  The weather was perfect!  In the morning, it was cool and the crowds were very, very low.  By lunch time, the sun had come out and it warmed up...perfect for our time in their water park.   I will say that I'm not a fan of Six Flag's policy of not allowing outside food as the food they have to offer is very, very expensive (more expensive than Disney, which shocked this mama).  Even so, I was able to keep at our $20 budget (probably because I did sneak in some juice and applesauce... well, I didn't really "sneak" as the gate attendant didn't ask if I had any food ;).

The kids had a BLAST, mommy discovered that she's getting too old for some of these rides and even though I do not want to buy a season pass, we are looking forward to our trip with the homeschool group next year.

Bailey LOVED driving the little cars.  Because there was no one else
in line, we got to ride this ride... four times in a row :)

Baby brother got a chance to drive too :)  So serious and this mama just
loves those sweet lips!
Our beautiful, big girl...

First ride, all "by himself".  He was very serious...probably because
mama was super nervous and had cinched down the seat belt so tight,
that it's possible that he could not feel his legs :)

They did great and, of course, asked to ride it again :)

Pool time!  There were water slides, a splash area and a wave pool!
Great fun :)
Too cool...
Of course, there has to be a snack after swimming...

Ice cream faces all around :)
