Fair fun....

Last weekend we took Boo to the fair...she had a great time! We went last year and, for the first time, she rode the kiddie rides all by herself. This year she was an old pro and loved every minute of it. We got lucky and the day we went the rides were free for the first hour of the morning so she got to go on 6 or 7 of them. Her favorite was the ever faithful, Merry-go-Round.
After the rides, we went and looked at the animals....which Bailey told me that she could smell, before seeing them :)
Hope you're all having a great week!

roosters were funny :)

YiaYia and Popo....

My parents moved today. They're moving back home to Washington State and I may be 39 years old but, I will tell you....it's killing me. We are extremely close and Bailey too has become very close to them. She knows that YiaYia and Popo will now live in Washington with Uncle Jeff and Uncle Josh but, I know she does not realize that this means she will not see them. Oh she may think she won't see them for a day or two but...she, of course at 3 1/2, does not really grasp it. Every memory over the past three years for Boo, has YiaYia and Popo in it. From simple things like going to Lowes, a walk on the trail or out to dinner...to special things such as birthdays, visits to the beach and trips to Disney.

So...if you think of us over the next few weeks or even few months, please ask God to keep us (as always) in His grasps.

Lots of love to you all....

Yes....it's STILL HOT in Georgia!

Funny how three year olds don't seem to notice that it's 90 degrees at 10am :) Evan and Bailey got a chance to play at a local soccer field/play ground earlier this week and while Glenna and I were sweating in the shade, the girls played out in the sun for over an hour without even a hint of wanting to slow down. It was hot...but fun :)

Princess wear....

YiaYia bought Bailey some princess jewelry and shoes a couple of weeks ago. She loves them and we've since added two additional pair of "fancy shoes" to her dress-up apparel. She'll walk around the house, in costume, pushing her toy grocery cart full of plastic food, toys, her bear...whatever she's shoved in it that particular day. She also wears the jewelry with her Cinderella dress :)

It's pretty darn cute ....and also pretty funny because my 3 year old can already walk in heels better than I can! :)

Hope you've all had a great week!

Weekend....

This last weekend was Labor Day and we were a busy family. Besides church on Sunday, we went to an arts-n-crafts festival on Saturday and The Children's Museum on Monday. YiaYia and Popo got to join us for both activities...we had a great time!

The festival was a lot of fun; it was at the Marietta Square. It was a beautiful day. For the first time in months, the morning started with a bit of crisp air. It was awesome!! By afternoon, it was very warm but...we enjoyed the cooler weather for a few hours. There was lots to look at and each of us was pretty tired by the time we packed up and heading home.

The Children's Museum (or otherwise known as Imagine It!) was GREAT! Highly recommend it for any parent with a child age 2.5 to about age 6. We were there for close to three hours and could have stayed longer. The only mistake we made, was not packing lunch so we could stay longer (oh well....just gave us an excuse to go out to lunch :). We had an awesome time and will definitely go back.

Ballet....

Today Bailey started ballet class at school. It made for a long day because we didn't get out of there until 1:15pm but...she had a really good time. Boo has done a few ballet classes but, this one was more "formal". Her teacher worked on steps that the mommy-n-me class never touched. We're so excited to see the recital this Christmas! :)

As for school, it's going well for Boo. She's making friends and seems to be enjoying herself. I'm very glad she's only in class three mornings a week. That seems to be the perfect amount for right now.

Hope you all had a wonderful week!
