Princess Party...

Our miracle...our little princess, is turning 4. Her birthday isn't until Tuesday but, her birthday party was this weekend and, of course....it was a Disney Princess theme :) We had a great time! God blessed us with some really gorgeous weather which gave the girls a chance to enjoy (what we called) "Belle's Barn" (a small petting zoo special for the party), along with some fun time around the sandbox and playhouse outside. Inside we had a game, pin-the-tail on the donkey...with a twist. This game was called, "Put Cinderella in her window". They all loved it :) Lunch was fun and the HUGE chocolate cake was big hit.

I think Bailey was a little overwhelmed by all the fuss made on her (she's still a bit shy) but, I will tell you that 4 must be the magic age where they really get that the presents are theirs to open. Her friends kept wanting to help her open the gifts and Bailey was quick to remind them that the gifts were hers and she didn't need any help thank you :)

Amazing...4 years old already. How fast the time has gone....

Because the lamb kept jumping (to get food),
Bailey kept telling him to "calm down...calm down" :)

Bailey couldn't resist taking a big bite of her cake :)

FAST RIDER...

After church on Sunday, we went over to Costco and then walked through the Cumberland Mall. Each time we're in a mall, if they have those coin operated cars...Boo will find them. We're at Cumberland so often that she could probably lead you to their location with her eyes closed :)

She was waving :)

Her favorite one...the ice cream truck :)

I don't usually put money in these but...I gave in this
time; she wanted to ride the roller coaster ride...

She LOVED it! She definitely has daddy's love for coasters!

SHE'S A BUILDER...

Boo loves to play Lego's. She especially loves to build things really tall. Tonight, we thought she built a very "pretty" building. Maybe we have an architect on our hands! Or, maybe better said... a "princess architect" :)

SMALL VICTORIES...

Bailey likes puzzles. She has several of them and if we help with the outside/trim pieces, then she's really good about filling in the middle ones. She has one puzzle that she can do almost entirely by herself...I think it's a 24 or 36 piece puzzle.

For Christmas (2009) Yia Yia and Popo bought Boo this great puzzle by Melissa and Doug..she's always liked it, but she's never spent enough time on it to complete it (the reason for this, is it's this really neat puzzle that can do 6 different animals...so each block has 6 sides with different animal pieces on it). Well, tonight while I was making dinner, I suggested that she give it a go and...she did it! All by herself!! She was sooo proud of herself :) Man...I love those small victories.

Look what I did!!

TOO MUCH TIME...

Yesterday we took Bailey to a jumpy house...she loves those places and can easily jump for over an hour. This particular trip, we were there for about an hour and a half and only had our simple point and shoot (which has a very slow shutter speed) so...it was pretty much impossible to get pictures of Boo. We did get one (below) where she was sitting next to a ripped seam on one of the jumps...it was blowing air in her face which she thought was hilarious :)

After that....Mommy and Daddy got bored with a little too much time on our hands and so we started to take those wonderful "self portraits".

HMM...WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE'S TELLING ME?

Last week, Bailey and I were running some errands and she insisted on wearing her bike helmet in the car. What do you think...maybe I need to slow down a bit? :)

OKAY...ENOUGH ALREADY!

Yep...we're pretty much "over it" and ready for the white stuff to go away! We didn't leave the house Monday or Tuesday but, by this morning, we were all feeling pretty caged (as Boo shows us in the picture below :) so...we ventured out for lunch at Cracker Barrel and a quick run into Walmart. You know what? The roads were not that bad! We were happy to find that 80% of what we drove on was dry cement. Warmer weather is suppose to come our way this weekend so, fingers crossed we'll be back to "normal" by Monday :)

The snow looks wet...but really, it's just VERY icy

SNOW!

We woke up this morning to several inches of snow. I had told Boo when I put her to bed last night, that there might be snow when she woke up so, of course....that was her first question, was there any snow? Yes baby girl...we've got snow!

Bailey was so excited that we went outside 10 minutes after she got up. Dressed in several layers (we each had three...plus a coat), we braved the outside and played in the snow for about an hour. She loved it.

After that, back inside for hot pancakes. Now, I am NOT a cold weather person but, I have to say...this was a pretty great start to the week :)

I had just thrown a snow ball at her...
Then it was her turn to get me back :)

Our neighbor let us borrow their sled...Boo had to
bring along her golf club. It made her go faster she said :)
Great time!!

ALL NEATLY IN A LINE...

Bailey likes to line things up. Doesn't really matter what it is, often times we'll find things around the house...in a line :) She doesn't do it all the time, or with everything but, she does it often. These pictures below are some things we've found over the past month :)

PARK FUN WITH THE BFF...

Earlier this week, Glenna and I took the girls to the park. It warmed up a little while we were there (hence the reason for the coat change on Boo) so it turned out to be a really nice afternoon. This particular park has nice wide sidewalks for the girls to ride their bikes on, along with playground equipment. We all had a great time and while both girls are still learning how to ride their bikes, they both did great!

Come on Spring...we're ready for more days like this one!

HAPPY 2011!

How do you ring in the New Year with a 3 year old?? You go to a 12noon (instead of 12 midnight) party! The city of Smyrna held a family party and it was very crowded but still really fun. Bailey got to make a snowman out of her favorite things... candy "food" :) With Mommy's help she made the snowman of marshmallows and chocolate and, with Daddy's help...they ate it :)

Happy 2011 everyone!
